Payment
Payments on this site are taken via a link to Elavon (formely known as Opayo or Sage Pay). This area of the website is not under the direct control of the RSGB and nor can we influence any decisions it makes. If your card is declined by Elavon this will be a decision made by card provider - not Elavon or the RSGB. In these circumstances you are advised to contact your card provider.
Payment may also be made by post, enclosing a cheque or postal order. These should be crossed and made payable to "Radio Society of Great Britain ". Please do not send us cash of any currency.
We accept all major credit and debit cards, except non Euro specific cards such as Discover etc. Please note not all overseas credit cards will accept charges from the UK, if this is the case, we ask that you ensure you have advised your card company of the transaction which will enable us to process your order.

Charging and Errors
This site actively takes payement at the time the order is placed. If errors are found at time of processing we reserve the right to reject and credit the order, or amend and partially credit the order in order to correct these. We will try to contact customers to advise of changes but in the event we are unable to do so, the adjustement may be carried out without direct consent, which may result in a higher fee than is detailed in the order placed.
In cases where the customer has made an error the RSGB reserves the right to make a £10 administration charge when making refunds to cover administration costs. This is only applied in cases of error and does not affect your distance selling rights. This specifically covers Membership, QSL bureau services, etc. where payments are made in advance but is also occasionally applied in other circumstances too.

Renewals
The RSGB reserves the right to reject membership renewals transacted on this website. A rejection will result in us refunding monies in full but this may be subject to an administration fee depending on the reason for the rejection.
Please note this rejection will be the case if you do not select the renewal rate quoted on your membership renewal letter or email. Some of the rates shown for renewals are either closed categories or rates that require special conditions to be met. To find out more about these rates please contact membership@rsgb.org.uk. All renewal prices are subject to change. E&OE.

Cancellation
Customers may cancel orders by contacting membership@rsgb.org.uk or telephoning +44 (0)1234 832700 during office hours (8.30-4.30 Mon-Fri). Please note that many transactions are automatically processed through our systems, so cancellations may involve a credit/debit card refund and these may take a few days to complete through the banking system. Depending on circumstances this may be subject to the standard RSGB Handling fee of £10.
Customers setting up direct debit payments or other payments for a future date have the right to cancel prior to payment being taken, subject to the product involved. This should be done in writing (email) to the RSGB sales department at least 14 days before the payment is due. In cases where cancellation is made after payments have been taken by direct debit we reserve the right to deduct proportions of the fee for the period of time that has elapsed and our administration charge noted above.
